I’m having difficulty shedding pounds.
I am a 50 yo male, 5’8”, 252lbs. I have had success losing weight with Weight Watchers and I ate 1,500-1,650 calories. I went from 268 lbs to 190 lbs. Any time I ate in the 1,800 calorie to 2,000 calorie range, my weight loss stopped or I gained weight.
Could it be possible then that because I don’t exercise and my BMR of 1,980 calories is so close to my TDEE, meaning I don’t burn many excess calories “outside” of metabolism; Could it be that I need to eat 1,500-1,700 to create a calorie deficit?
