Dumbell routine.

Dumbell routine. diesel040 I am looking for some help. I am 35 and haven't lifted weights in over 10 years. I eat a basic diet in which I sometimes go crazy but for the most part it's somewhat clean. I do drink alchohol 3x week in the evenings. I jog approximately 15 miles a week and am looking for a workout routine to add to that. It's easiest if I do it in my office. I have a pull up bar, dip station , bench , and dumbells. I am currently 195 lbs and a little above 6 feet. Could one get a nice build with just dumbells and calisthenics? How to pair running with lifting for a cut/should I even cut? RecoomeKick Hey guys, 180lbs 5’10 32 years old here. Been half-heartedly bulking for years and recently found out I have an (estimated via measuring waist) 16.8% body fat, not cool! So now I’m trying to cut. Using My Fitness Pal I’m tracking calories etc. The diet almost feels too easy. I don't experience much hunger, I just don’t get to snack how I used to. This is day number 5 and I’m still trying to feel out how exercise will fit in here. Was thinking run three or four times a week and lift two or three times a week with the novice Fierce 5 program. Building muscle during this cup would be awesome, but probably not realistic. I would like to keep my strength up though. Just before going on this bulk I deadlifted 430lbs which I was super proud of and I hope to stay close to that during this cut. I've read that if you have over 15% body fat you should cut before trying to bulk. I know the test I mentioned above ...

I have a question about weight and height in particular XeroForever When I was in the Army my general healthy weight that I maintained (where I did PT 5 times a week and personal workouts maybe 3-4 times a week) was 200lbs. Generally during the week I'd keep it pretty healthy, sometimes people would want to go out and I'd eat a burger and some fries, or a bunch of sushi ect. Then on the weekends it was lots of alcohol and whatever food went along with it. I struggled sometimes and would cut corners which had me go up to 210lbs every once in awhile, but when I felt like I was eating well and going to the gym consistently, I would be around about 200 pounds and I felt pretty good in my skin. There was a time during a 3 month TDY where I only really had time enough to go to the gym and then it was off to training at night. Despite my age I feel very well, full of energy and my diet rocks (I managed to lose about 45lbs in the last year), I learned to count proteins, calories and I love it. So, with much enthusiasm and 100% motivation I decided to take a membership in a local gym for a year, confident that I'd quickly overcome the fact I always considered the gym intimidating. I paid 2 personal trainers (!!!) for a total of 7 lessons and 2 routines (total $300), because I started, the first month, in a different gym (same membership) and wanted to start in the right way; I don't regret for the money spent this only shows my motivation, and I was confident that at least it would be good to learn the proper way to exercise. I'm not really lifting heavy or anything but I do do some moderate weights, yes I know I need to do better and the plan is to get some bigger weights. I recently had a blood test done which I've attached, I just wanted some advice really, my oestradiol level seems a little high, though within the 'normal' range? age 41 (not 51!) I take quite a few supplements which 'should' help keep estrogen lower (Ashwagandha, Nettle, Grape seed), my cortisol is also a little high which is odd as a number of these supplements may help reduce it. To be honest I'm a little addicted to supps lol, I have some arthritic issues with my feet which I try and self medicate for as my dr. is pretty useless unless it nuts and bolts medicine, anything more complex and it's take Ibuprofen.. err yeah great thanks. They had a number stamped on the outside "45" and "25" and is brand "Tuf-Tite". I began my workouts about 2 or 3 weeks ago using the 25, then moved on to the 45. I lift weights and do cardio, but I don't lift really heavy anymore. I do use excellent form, which I didn't in my 20s. What I find the most challenging is losing weight. It's so slow and its different than what it used to be. I don't know if its metabolism or being less active overall, probably a combination, but I find it really difficult to lose weight. I was 116kg / 255lbs in July 2020, height of the pandemic, since this time I have managed to get to 93kg / 205lbs. My wife supported my diet, I bought a few supplements and I consistently trained. I have always been happy with my body, but now I want to have a visible 6 pack, and look leaner and stay that way. Im usually around 15-18 percent, but I want to get to around ten. The idea that the last 5 reps of a set matter the most for muscle building. So staying close to failure will maybe be as good as resting up and doing full sets.
