Workout routine help for a newbie

Workout routine help for a newbie Aaronre93
Hi all, I’m going to work my way through the stickies in this forum over the next week or so but thought I’d ask for some help first. I’ll try and make it as short and sweet as possible.

So I’m 28 years old, 5’9, 182lbs with around 20% body fat. I’d like to put on some size whilst losing the fat. Am I better off just focusing on 1 thing first or will both happen together?

I’ve never taken the gym too seriously and now I want to get into a solid training programme and feel like I know what I’m doing for once and have an end goal while trying to diet as best as possible.

I can find the time to do 3 or 4 workouts a week, right now I’m doing my stuff at home. All I have is dumbbells up to 15kg each and some resistance bands. Am I going to need the gym or can I make do?

My main question more than any other is where/how do I start, what’s the best training programme for begginers, where can I learn the foundations etc etc
